Experience
Odoo fiscal localization in Honduras
Changing an ERP’s language doesn’t adapt its fiscal, payroll, or migration rules. That work needs its own specification.
Context
An ERP that changes versions and countries needs to preserve its operating rules. The localization had to organize fiscal documents, sequences, withholdings, templates, and data migration.
Need
The scope also had to cover employee information, payroll calculations, and the files needed for bank payments.
Work
What we did
- We documented document types, validations, and fiscal sequences by journal for the Odoo 12 to Odoo 13 migration.
- The scope included sales and purchase invoices, credit and debit notes, withholding documents, templates, operating units, and migration scripts.
- The payroll documentation covered employee history, contract and salary changes, commissions, absences, bonuses, income tax, employer obligations, overtime, and termination calculations.
- We also described how to generate bank files for payroll payments.
Scope
What was documented
The scope covered the accepted specification. The available documentation doesn’t confirm a production launch or economic results.
Why it matters
A precise specification gives development and operations a shared reference before touching data, payroll, or invoicing.
